G2 Risk Facilitator

G2 Risk Facilitator Course provides the essential skills and knowledge for individuals working in the Resource Sector who are required to carry out risk management processes.

Strategic Corporate Training's G2 Risk Facilitator Course meets the requirements of the following nationally recognised unit of competency from the RII40420 Certificate IV in Underground Coal Operations qualification:

• RIIRIS402E Carry out the risk management process

This course is appropriate for those working in supervisory roles where the mine site requires them to facilitate risk assessments or are involved in the process, including the application of local hazard identification, formal risk assessment and implementation of risk controls.

Students should have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to read and comprehend instructions for safety in the workplace and be employed in the Resource Sector.

Strategic Corporate Training's G2 Risk Facilitator Course is regularly conducted at our Thornton training venue in conjunction with the S1 S2 S3 Site Supervisor course. This training delivery structure means that the S1 S2 S3 and G2 Courses are combined into a three day format. 

Assessments are completed within the classroom training session, which is facilitated by our highly experienced industry trainers.

Students who require more time to develop their understanding of the training content have the opportunity to complete and submit their assessments tasks within six months from commencement.

Assessment for this course is based on competency, which is the ability to demonstrate specific skills.

Strategic Corporate Training utilises the following assessment methods to determine competency of a student during the course:

• Demonstration through questioning (either verbal or written) showing the understanding of the underpinning knowledge of the competencies
• Demonstration of practical skill in a workplace or simulated environment
• Direct observation by the trainer/assessor
• Third party report and employer support documentation (if required)

On successful completion of the G2 Risk Facilitator course, students will have gained the skills and knowledge to:
